Wendougee MILO II Overview
The Wendougee MILO II is the second generation of the popular single dose grinder. The MILO II features 64mm titanium coated flat hardened burrs burrs. It is powered by a variable speed brushless motor. The MILO II also features a round LCD screen with intuitive adjustment at the touch of a button. Unlike many grinders on the market, it accurately monitors the burr gap in microns. When paired with a Wendougee espresso machine, realtime feedback from the previous shot can be communicated to the grinder and give suggested setting adjustments. The chute is designed to be short, and almost vertical, allowing grounds to fall directly into the portafilter. At the end of the day the magnetic chute is easily removed for cleaning. A bonus design of the magnetic chute is that it has an integrated knocker design to keep grounds free from the chute, offering as little grind retention as possible.
Grinder Settings
The new round LCD interface uses touch screen technology to easily adjust grind size and grind time at the touch of a button. Don't see a traditional adjustment knob? The MILO II has an integrated servo motor to accurately and repeatedly adjust the grinder as you go. Unlike many grinders on the market, the burr gap is given in microns, allowing you to easily make changes quickly and accurately.
Grind Chamber
The MILO II features 64mm Titanium coated hardened burrs for a long life. The grind chamber is designed to accurately measure a consistent burr gap.
Magnetic Chute
The magnetic chute is designed to be as short as possible, allowing the grounds to exit the grind chamber and fall into the portafilter below. Being attached with magnets allows the chute to be easily removed and cleaned often to prevent build up in this low retention grinder. The need for cleaning will be minimal, because the design of this magnetic chute also acts as a knocker, keeping all the particles to a minimum in the exit chute.
Single Dose Design
The MILO II is tilted at a 28 degree angle to minimize the coffee particles that would normally remain in the grinder. Gently use the bellow to push remaining coffee grounds from the grind chamber and chute. The magnetic chute also acts as a knocker. The MILO II on average retains 0.1g
