DATA S: build a recipe beyond a single pressure setting

The Wendougee DATA S makes extraction parameters part of the home brewing process. A gear pump, saturated group and separate brew and steam boilers give the machine a platform for exploring pressure profiles and flow-priority brewing through the E-Bar interface.

Instead of changing only the grind and shot length, you can shape the way water reaches the coffee over the course of a shot. Save a working recipe, return to it with the same coffee and adjust deliberately as your taste or beans change.

What pressure and flow control mean

A pressure profile defines changing pressure targets during extraction. Flow-priority operation focuses on water delivery. The DATA S uses pressure feedback with its gear pump to manage the brewing process; the coffee bed still provides resistance, so preparation and grind consistency remain important.

A useful starting point is one coffee, one dose and one target beverage weight. Establish a good conventional extraction, then alter a single profile stage. This makes the machine’s additional controls easier to understand and keeps experimentation connected to taste.

A saturated group with two dedicated boilers

The brew group is integrated with the brewing boiler to support temperature consistency at the coffee. A 0.8 L brew boiler handles extraction while a separate 1.8 L steam boiler supplies milk preparation. Brew and steam settings can serve different jobs without relying on a single boiler to change modes.

Choose how you supply water

Tank Only uses the removable 1.5 L reservoir. Direct Connect + Tank adds direct-water capability while retaining a reservoir option. Select the correct version before purchase; do not assume a Tank Only machine includes plumbing hardware. For a plumbed station, confirm the connection parts and water-treatment requirements.

Questions about this model

Can profiles make every coffee taste the same?

No. Profiles provide repeatable control settings, but coffee, grind and preparation remain variables. Use the saved recipe as a starting point and judge the result in the cup.

How does DATA S differ from LITA LA?

DATA S uses a gear pump, larger brew and steam boilers and selected direct-connect versions. LITA LA uses two electromagnetic pumps, smaller boilers and reservoir water supply.
